Hey All!

It’s been a while since I blogged… I’ve been soooo busy juggling and balancing but seriously enjoying every minute!

My new single “Is This Love” is set for it’s exclusive online release the end of November and I will be in rehearsals next week to prepare for the live appearances in various US cities to introduce my music to the American people! Yay! I’m so looking forward to launching in LA, New York and Las Vegas! And I hope that many of you can come round to see it! Details of venues, locations and times are on my website so click here for more info. I can tell ya, the shows are gonna be a blast!

The video for my new track was such fun to do and MTV covered the behind the scenes making of it — so watch this space for when that will be aired! The single is a cover of the White Snake song, Is This Love — where were you and what were you doing in 1988 when the track was first released? I’d love to see pictures of you back in that day! If you post yours on my facebook page, I promise to find one of me with the BIGGEST HAIR ever! But I guarantee you, my version of the song isn’t anything like the original so pop your dancing shoes on and get ready people!

Anyway… I’m off to watch one of my kids play in his rugby match! I’ll be sporting my Gucci wellies and big shades! Gotta fly, will be in touch again soon!

Lotsa love,

Stae xx

London Gay Pride on Saturday 2nd July!!!

Hey all!

On my way back from Palermo where I was at one of the most beautiful parties I have ever been to! I also got to strut my stuff on an open-air stage on the terrace of a magnificent Pallazzo. What an amazing night! I was so honoured to perform there. I’ve even mastered the choreography in my high heels.

For those of you who plan to be in London tomorrow (Saturday 2nd July), make sure you come and see me at London’s Gay Pride. Look out for me on top of a float which will end up smack in the middle of Trafalgar Square belting out ‘Live It Up’ and ‘I Am A Woman’ with my gorgeous dancers by my side! I’m really looking forward to seeing you there. I will have my Blackberry with me and will be able to respond to Tweets from on top of the float, in real time, so make sure you are following me on Twitter if you aren’t already!!! Lots of Stacey Jackson goodies are up for grabs so make sure you get involved!

‘Live it Up’ is still rocking the charts and is now being played regularly on TV and radio. The video was such a blast to shoot, check out the hilarious “behind the scenes” footage of the rap auditions! Guaranteed to get you chuckling!

Last Friday Live It Up was also played by Andy Durant on Galaxy, which is awesome and the music video has been featured on Starz TV’s playlist!!! Help get a high airplay chart placement by texting: Play ‘Stacey Jackson: live It Up!’ to 71000 (I think it costs £1.00)!

Thanks for all your support and hope to see you in London for my next few shows.

lotsa love,

Live It Up is at no. 2 on the POP CHARTS!!!

Hey all!

As promised I am sooooooo excited to exclusively launch to all my fabulous supporters the OFFICIAL LIVE IT UP video feat. Snoop Dogg. Click here to watch and share it on Facebook and Twitter with all your friends!! It was such fun to do and I hope you all enjoy watching it as we did filming it! I can’t wait to turn on all the relevant music TV channels and see it up there soon! The official release isn’t until July but it should start getting out there in the next week or so! In the meantime… enjoy it and share it!

I have awesome news! Live It Up debuted at number 15 this week on the POP CHART and 31 on the club chart and has now climbed up to NUMBER 2 in the Pop Chart and NUMBER 8 in the Club charts!! We are soooooo gonna get this to number one so click here to go to iTunes and download a couple of the remixes! Also, don’t forget to request it when you’re out clubbing! The DJs are loving the track and it’s playing on some big dance radio stations around the country!

Last week was the first leg of the UK Gay Pride tour and I went up to Birmingham to perform Live It Up for the first time live! I couldn’t believe all the thousands of people who came out to see me, it was crazy!

There were some great acts that night but I must admit, I certainly had THE BEST dancers and we brought the house down for sure! A fan uploaded clip of the gig to YouTube – not the greatest sound quality (maybe done on an iPhone?) but you’ll get the gist of it and check out the crowd at the end of the song! Click here to watch the clip.

After the show I had so many people wanting my autograph that security had to say “that’s enough” and one lovely man gave me a teddy bear. I said “that’s so sweet, would you like me to sign your bear?” and he said “no, I brought it to give to you!” How awesome is that?!

New Tour dates are coming in all the time so please go to staceyjackson.com to check the schedule — especially the shows I will be headlining with Snoop Dogg!

I’m actually blogging today from the studio — putting some final touches on one last song for the album. It’s all so exciting and it’s coming out so well… The plan is to keep popping them out! I loooooooove what I do!! I also just did a collaboration with some fabulous Regge rappers! So hang onto your hats everyone — have I got some surprises for you!

Lotsa love and thank you soooooo much for all your support!

So I will be starting heavy promotion in the next few weeks while rehearsing with my fabulous male dancers for the start of the tour — beginning with Gay Pride in Birmingham! I can’t wait to see my dancer’s costumes! I promise to post a pic as soon as they come in. But, I am pretty sure they are full of sexy bling!! I’ve also been requested to headline at a few college balls this summer including the University of Coventry (28 May) and The University of Surrey (8 June) — have a look at this nice article featured in the Young Academic publication.

The final edit of the music video for Live it Up has been approved and is due to be launched along with the official release of Live it Up. Below is a picture of me with my dancers and Andy, from Gass Productions, who directed the video:

The album is just about  all mastered short of the tracks I am holding out for some more “surprise” collaborations. In fact, I will be back in the studio next week working on one of those surprises — so watch this space!! The votes have come in (and thank you to all who voted!!) but it seems — almost unanimously — that the album will in fact be called “Live It Up”. Volume one will be released in July, Volume two in the fall.

Of course I went to see Snoop’s concert at HMV Forum this week. He rocked the house with all of his old tracks! We had such fun and I of course gave him a huge bag of watermelon bubble gum! Can’t wait til he’s back again in July — and we will be clubbing it up together!! Dates, places and details will be posted on my website.

Thanks so much for all your support!!

Lotsa love,

eSquire Remix of ‘Live it Up feat. Snoop Dogg’ is available now on iTunes

Hey All!!

First things first. The eSquire remix of Live it Up is now available from iTunes, so make sure you get your download if you haven’t already by clicking here.

Well, my album is almost ready! I am soooooo excited! All the songs are inspired by various influences in my life – both musically and personally – plus there are two covers I’m resurrecting from my “80’s rocker youth” and you won’t believe the transformation! Just a couple more months until its release and in the next couple of weeks there will be some more surprise collaborations to spill the beans about, so watch this space!!

By the way… we were toying with “I Am A Woman” as the name of the album versus “Live it Up” and I think the consensus is “Live It Up” cuz that’s EXACTLY what I am doing right now! Living it Up and having THE time of my life! What are your thoughts? Please click here to let me know what you think would be the best album title? Live it Up or I Am A Woman?

Live It Up, the single dance remixes have now officially been released into the club circuit this week! Yippee! Check out the packshot that went to all the DJs:

I should also be getting the first edit of the video this week! Eeeeek!! It’s all coming round so fast! And also watch this space for my tour dates with Snoop Dogg this summer. We are locking them in and so far we have Germany, England and France covered. Click here to see the Snoop and Stae promo video if you haven’t already! I will be headlining Snoop’s club parties after his shows – performing Live It Up and I Am A Woman plus a few surprises in store!

I am also really looking forward to being on the Gay Pride tour this summer – starting on 28th May in Birmingham!! Then I’m off to Manchester, Belfast, Brighton and LONDON – where I will be on the roof of an open top bus! And in some cases, sharing the stage with Rosalla (“Everybody’s Free”) Look out for me all “blingged-out” with my gorgeous dancers in tow! Info on the exact times and locations will be posted on www.staceyjackson.com.

Thanks again for all your support!! And PLEASE don’t forget to rate my YouTube videos or my music when you buy tracks from iTunes; it only takes a second and really helps the cause!

Happy Easter and Passover!

Hey All,

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged because I’ve been uber-swamped writing tracks and putting the finishing touches on my album. I’m so excited about how it’s all coming out! Watch this space for another awesome collaboration PLUS the debut of a French track I co-wrote called ‘Ressens La Musique’!!

It’s getting crazier and crazier for me now! The remixes of ‘Live It Up’ are going out to the clubs next week and we are aiming for a NUMBER ONE in the POP CHARTS!! The Soulshaker remix is already up on iTunes and we will release the next one next week, so keep your eyes open for that! My club after-party tour dates with Snoop Dogg are being confirmed this week and I just found out I will be doing UK GAY PRIDE!!! Yes, I will be on the rooftop of a bus cranking out I Am A Woman and Live It Up to thousands in LONDON, MANCHESTER, BRIGHTON, BIRMINGHAM AND BELFAST, (dates to follow!).

I was also lucky enough to steal a much-needed holiday in all this craziness and go away for a short break with my family. But I’m back now and I started to write this blog while getting ready to film the first of a two day shoot for the video Live It Up feat. Snoop Dogg.

I’m shooting the sofa scenes and dancers scenes today – the sofa is so cool! It’s shaped like an enormous hand! Its hard work to sit and sing an upbeat song! I just wanna get up and dance!!  But you’ll all see how it comes out soon enough!  Gass productions, who filmed I Am a Woman video in the air hangar, are shooting this new one and were pretty peeved when they arrived at the studio to find there was no power!! They sorted that all out—but had I known, I would have appreciated a sleep-in!! I don’t do 6 am wake-up calls too well!

This video will be HOTTER THAN EVER! OMG!! The dancers just did their bit and they were AMAZING!  The things these guys and girls can do with their bodies are astounding! I’m taking the guys with me on tour this summer so I hope you will come and see for yourself! They all look so amazing I can’t wait to get some snippets up online for you all to see!

The second day was THE MOST hilarious day EVER! We filmed the audition scenes for a rapper and placed an open casting call for all potential rappers! OMG! The people that came down were FANTASTIC (Well, OK, not everyone was fantastic!!!!)! Young, old, guys, girls, kids!! It was tooooooo funny! I even had an encounter with a “crazed fan”!  This experience is too surreal!!

Now aren’t you dying to know what the video is gonna look like??? Snoop Dogg and I filmed our bit while in Boston so it’s up to the video production people to put it all together in a crackin’-hot video!!  I CAN’T WAIT!

I’m off to the States next week, so everyone have a terrific Easter and Passover!

Lotsa love,

Stae xxx

What a difference a week makes!!!

Hey All!!

This week has been so busy I don’t even know where to start.

When the news broke last week about my collaboration with Snoop Dogg, the media went crazy. The Evening Standard was the first to react, publishing an awesome article about how Snoop and I got together. The Metro followed suit with an article entitled ‘Snoop Dogg’s new star: Chelsea mother of four Stacey Jackson’. My son freaked out when he saw it on his tube journey to school last week.

Sky News picked up on the buzz and decided to feature the story in its television news reel and I got a call from a friend who told me “I was just in a cafe and saw you on the telly!” The BBC, who got in touch with my management team, invited me to come on the Eddie Nestor Drivetime show for “International Women’s Day”.  It was the same night as a parent-teachers meeting at my kids’ school so I agreed to take part over the telephone rather than going into the studio.

I also just recorded an EXCLUSIVE acoustic rendition of I Am A Woman — “The Unclubbed Version” which will be a featured podcast on the Telegraph Online. It was such fun to do — jamming live in the studio!

Additionally, the producers of Fern Britton’s Channel 4 television chat show have now been in touch with my publicist to get me on the show for a live interview, towards the end of this month! It’s really starting to get nuts but I’m really happy with all the positive reactions from this and so many people are telling me how inspiring my story is.

On top of all this, I have been busy in the studio recording my forthcoming album. We have currently finished eight tracks and are on schedule to complete the album by the end of the month. The album is a very personal collection of up-beat dance-pop tracks and I am sooooooo excited to share them all with you guys first before the release in June. I’ve co-written most of the tracks with my production team and I am gearing up for a couple more amazing collaborations so watch this space!!

we are are also getting set to film the music video which is going to accompany the release of ‘Live it Up’ next month; while I am not allowed to say too much about the video at this stage I can tell you that, like the track, it also features Snoop Dogg!!!!

I know this is a lot to take in, but I have the feeling that its going to get a whole load more hectic over the next few months — juggling the music and my family. I am so blessed to have such amazing support from all of them, especially my hubby who is my rock through all this!

Thank you all again for your unwavering support!

Stay tuned!

Lotsa love,

Stae xx

HUGE HUGE HUGE NEWS!!

Hey All!!

HUGE HUGE HUGE NEWS!!

Stacey Jackson and Snoop Dogg

Stacey and Snoop 'Live it Up' in Boston, MA

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED to let you all know that I have just finished a collaboration on my new song “LIVE IT UP”  with SNOOP DOGG!  He absolutely looooooved the track (which of course you will get to preview well before it’s released this summer). So I flew out to a very snowy Boston to meet up with him a few weeks ago where he wrote and recorded the rap part.  The song is a very personal account about a dream I had about my late father who told me that now is my time, I have to live my dream and just go for it!

Not only did we have the most amazing time recording the song with Snoop Dogg, I was also inducted into the “Dogg Pound” and I am now officially “Stacey “Bow Wow” Jackson”!!

After watching Snoop’s concert in the VIP section at University of Massachusetts’ concert venue, we went back stage where I did some promo for Boston’s Jam’n 94.5 FM to get I Am A Woman out there on the East Coast. There we first met Snoop who was very pumped up after his show but happy to meet me and told me he was looking forward to getting on with the track that night… Well….. “that night” turned into the next morning and after being awake for nearly 40 hours… we finally got it together to work on Live It Up! He was truly a star, and utterly professional and he told me (unprompted of course!) that the track is going to be HUGE — “anywhere, at any club on this “PLANET” and it will be BIG on the radio!

We also captured our entire time with Snoop on video. We had some long chats about sports, parenting and music and I thoroughly enjoyed EVERY second i got to work with him on this song. So keep your eyes open for some Snoop and Stae “Bow Wow” Jackson footage to grace youtube and TV very soon! Plus a full-blown Snoop and Stae music video of Live It Up!!

Snoop has just started his 18-month tour for the launch of his new album Doggumentary but when Live It Up drops this summer, I will be joining Snoop and the Dogg Pound for a few gigs around the States and Europe! It’s all soooooo exciting I really can’t believe this is all happening!

I am currently working on finishing the album “I Am A Woman” — which is made up of tracks that I co-wrote including Live It Up and all the tracks have a modern-disco feel to it! So everyone get ready to LIVE IT UP cuz I am having the time of my life and so should you!!!

I Am A Woman peaked at number five in the dance charts and I have approx 180,000 views on youtube of the video. It’s really surreal — someone told me that I am officially the FIRST “Housewife Popstar”! How crazy is that?? I have to admit, I am VERY fortunate I have the BEST and most supportive husband and family through and through! CLICK HERE to see the last instalment of the “making of the I Am A Woman video” where we are in the air hangar — under a lot of pressure to get things perfect!

Thanks so much for your support!! As I mentioned, I will be touring this summer so please check out www.staceyjackson.com for tour info when I will be in your neck of the woods and tell all your friends! I’d love to see you at my next performance!

Lotsa love,

Stacey “Bow Wow” Jackson xx

A Valentine’s Day Stacey Jackson Blog Post

Happy Valentines day to you all!

It has been a busy few weeks in the Stacey Jackson camp, to say the least! Not only has ‘I am a Woman’ rocked itself up to number 5 in the Music Week Club Charts (after five consecutive weeks in the top 30!), but I have just come back from Boston, where I spent a day in ‘the studio’ with one of the biggest names in the music industry, putting the finishing touches on my next single release, which is, by far, my greatest work to date! While I have been sworn to secrecy as to the identity of my A-list collaborator for the time being, I promise you all will be the FIRST to hear the HUGE news (and the first to hear the finished track when it is ready for release!). Sign-up to my newsletter, if you haven’t already, to make sure you are kept in the loop.

On top of this, ‘I am a Woman’ was featured in Lewis-Duncan Weedon’s show at London Fashion Week, earlier this month (I will be sharing the footage of this in my newsletter this Friday- another great reason to sign up, if you haven’t already), the Weekly News published an amazing feature about me in its February edition (click here to check it out), I have been invited to sing an acoustic version of ‘I am a Woman’ on the Telegraph’s weekly ‘The Cut’ podcast next week (more info to follow in this Friday’s newsletter) and, only this morning, DV8 Magazine published a feature about me and my journey since moving to London in 1999 (click here to access this feature online- I am on page 22-3).

For those of you who like me are eagerly awaiting the ‘Making of I am a Woman’, the footage is currently being edited by my team and will be ready for viewing very very soon!

Thank you all for your unwavering support. Keep up the momentum, keep tweeting and sharing my videos with your friends and make sure you sign-up to my fortnightly, Friday afternoon newsletter, if you haven’t already.

Ciao for now!!

Lotsa love,

IAAW #23 In The Charts + Brand New UDTV Episode

Hey All!

What a great couple of weeks it’s been! I Am A Woman moved up the charts to 23 this week and we are all crossing fingers and toes that it gets up to the top five! Although I’m kinda loving the longevity this track is seeing so keep dancing to it guys!! There are about 180,000 YouTube views on the video to date and it’s getting higher and higher! it’s really fab. In fact, click onto the second part of the making of the music video here and see all the behind the scenes of the chaos in the kitchen.

I have so much on but it’s all really fun and exciting! The I Am A Woman tour resumes in Feb AND I’m back in the studio writing and recording brand new tracks ready for an album release in the autumn! You can LISTEN to my latest radio interview here on Leith FM up in Scotland. (I don’t think I take a breath!)

Stacey Jackson Leith FM interview by staerox

But the biggest news of all is actually something I still have to keep a secret for a couple more weeks then I can let the cat out of the bag to all my fans first! But I will give you a clue… I am flying over to the States this week to record on a track that I wrote and a very uber-cool rapper (whom you all know!) will be rapping on it!! This collaboration will hopefully catapult my next single! My kids are just about as freaked out about this as me!!

Anyway… I gotta get busy everyone! Here’s to an amazing 2011!!
